Become a Community Spokesperson
Each of us lives in a community we care about but are often left wondering what we can do to help improve what goes on in and around that community. Communities in the Sierra Nevada are faced with many challenges and they are often left without effective spokespeople to speak on their behalf. Likewise, the forests that surround these communities and that these communities depend upon often do not have anyone speaking for them. It is our hope to change this up and down the Sierra.
Both our Community Forestry program and our Forest Conservation program are seeking dedicated and passionate community members who would like to play a more active role in speaking up for the forests and communities of the Sierra Nevada. The threats facing our forests, wildlife, and communities are real and as we work to enact proactive, collaborative community protection programs and also work to thwart misguided and harmful projects, our need to locate individuals who would like to speak on behalf of their communities and forests is constantly on the rise.

Our community leaders who join this network of local activists, play a crucial role in advancing the interests of their community as it pertains to protecting and restoring their neighboring forests as well as protecting their communities from wildfire.
