Placer County Firewise Workshop

Presented by the Foresthill / Iowa Hill Fire Safe Council

Please join us for our first ever Placer County Firewise workshop to introduce and discuss concepts regarding community fire mitigation. This 2-day workshop sponsored by the Foresthill/Iowa Hill Firesafe Council, Placer County Firesafe Alliance and Firewise Communities will cover issues critical to individual homes, communities, and the environment in regard to wildfire.

Topics to be covered include, but are not limited to:

  • Becoming a Firewise Community
  • Grants
  • Development
  • Insurance
  • Biomass and air quality
  • How homes burn
  • Shelter in place
  • 4291: the law
  • Firewise landscaping
  • Best management practices
