Calaveras Healthy Impact Product Solutions (CHIPS)

Calaveras Healthy Impact Product Solutions, or CHIPS, provides employment in rural Calaveras County by utilizing forest restoration by-products such as small diameter trees and brush from the forests surrounding West Point, California. The resulting materials are being turned into locally produced landscaping mulch and other products. The long term goals for CHIPS include production of a variety of forest products including wood pellets, posts and poles, pressed logs, and woodcraft materials.

We are proud to have helped jumpstart this program from its inception and we continue to partner with CHIPS in our efforts to restore Sierra landscapes and economic stability. Read more here, at the new CHIPs website.
